The first thing that stands out about the description of the product on the official website is that it claims to be “FDA approved weight loss pills”. That statement is made in the first line of the description of the ingredients and it is underlined in order to draw attention to it. What is interesting about that statement is that it appears to be completely and utterly misleading. There is no evidence, whatsoever that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has even had a look at this product let alone approved it. Moreover, this United Kingdom based company does not appear to ship its products to the United States.
When a shipping estimate was requested for the product to a California address, a red bar appeared at the top of the webpage saying “Warning: No Shipping options are available. Please contact us for assistance!” If the product is not being sold in the United States, why would the company have undergone the lengthy and typically expensive process of ensuring that it has received FDA approval? The odds are that it didn’t.
The ingredients within this product are listed within two different categories. The first category is referred to by the site as the “four main active ingredients”, which are: chromium, magnesium, vitamin E, and zinc. The second category just appears to be the additional weight loss ingredients, which include: damien herbs, ginger root, ginseng root, gotu kola, and lecithin.
What is clear by this list of substances is that the majority of this product is completely unproven, and many of the effects that it provides are based on stimulants. While this could potentially be helpful to some people who need an energy boost in order to keep up with their dieting, it could also create some potential side effects that may be unpleasant for many dieters. As the website does not identify the quantities in which the ingredients were included, it is impossible to know how strong side effects could be, or even if there is enough of anything to produce any positive benefits in the first place.
