XLS Medical Appetite Reducer is a product manufactured by a large company that is known as Omega Pharma. That company is behind a handful of different over the counter diet supplements within this category of the market. As their name would suggest, the purpose of these pills is to shrink the dieter’s appetite in order to make it easier to eat a smaller amount of food – and therefore fewer calories – without suffering from the dreaded hunger pangs that can cause so many diets to fail.
Omega Pharma makes some rather large claims about what XLS Medical Appetite Reducer can do for a dieter, but before believing them all or assuming that they aren’t true, it is important to look into the formula more thoroughly and to speak with a doctor about whether or not this is an appropriate product for the unique needs of that specific dieter.
The official webpage for this product on the manufacturer’s website states that this diet pill is specialized for people who are obese and who have “an excessively extended stomach.” It doesn’t provide a specific definition as to what that is, but it does claim that this product is appropriate for people who find themselves feeling “hungry all the time” and who “put on weight by eating too much.”
The benefits that the manufacturer claims will occur as a result of using the XLS Medical Appetite Reducer are: a long term feeling of being satisfied and appetite and hunger pang control. The result, says the site, is that significant weight loss can occur. The data that it provides suggests that within a span of 2 months, 2.5 kg (about 5.5 pounds). This is actually a reasonable and achievable level of weight loss for many people.
Unfortunately, the directions for using this product make it seem less likely that it would be able to produce that type of dieting advantage. The reason is that all it says to do is to take 3 capsules a half hour before a meal or between meals to help to avoid snacking. No more than 9 capsules should be taken every day, the capsules should be swallowed with a full glass of water. These directions make no mention of the necessity for proper diet and exercise. As any reputable doctor will agree, there is no diet pill that will generate weight loss, just by swallowing capsules alone.
This, combined with the lack of scientific evidence to support the use of Redusure™, the only active ingredient in this product, makes it difficult to recommend.
